Biblical storytelling is gaining popularity, thanks to the Network of Biblical Storytellers International, as more and more people are being enlightened by the new telling of old stories.

Kathy Culmer knows this well. She's an author, teacher, retreat leader, and storyteller. She has presented at national workshops, explaining her work as a new interpreter of biblical texts. In this course, which is designed specifically For Groups, she tells Jesus' famous story of the Feeding of the 5,000 as recounted in Mark 6:30-50. It includes two video presentations, the first is a brief explanation of biblical storytelling. The second presentation is Kathy's recounting of the story.

This course is designed For Groups. You will be invited to read and study the text on your own before and after Kathy's presentation.

It will take an average group about 45 minutes to complete this course. You can pause the presentations at any time and come back. This course includes a downloadable Facilitator's and Participants guide which can be printed up prior to your study time.

Who's teaching this course?
Our instructors come from a variety of traditions, mostly mainline Christianity - Episcopal, Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian. They meet two criteria, 1) they are well-studied, even experts in their field, 2) they offer a moderate viewpoint.

Is this course downloadable?
Parts of the course are - the Facilitator's Guide and a Participant's Guide. However, the video lectures, introductions, and other texts are only accessible online.
